Γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη, όπου ζει και εργάζεται. Είναι απόφοιτος του τμήματος Εφαρμοσμένων και Εικαστικών Τεχνών της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ., από το εργαστήριο του Δημήτρη Κοντού (1987-1993). Από το 1985, ξεκίνησε τον μεγάλο κύκλο της δουλειάς του, στον οποίο χρησιμοποίησε ως βασικό δομικό στοιχείο τις αρμονικές αναλογίες που προκύπτουν από την χρυσή τομή. Το 1998 προσθέτει στις μελέτες του την προοπτική της αναμόρφωσης, όπου τις ολοκληρώνει το 2004.
Από το 2006 μέχρι και σήμερα ασχολείται με την δουλειά που παρουσιάζεται εδώ με τον γενικό τίτλο ‘’Unplugged’’ και που πρώτη φορά προτίθεται να εκθέσει. Πρόκειται για συνθέσεις με κάρβουνο, πάνω σε καμβά ειδικής προετοιμασίας που έγινε από τον ίδιο.
Έχει πάρει μέρος σε πέντε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στο παρελθόν, δίνοντας δείγμα των μελετών του. Μια από αυτές ήταν το 1987 στο Βελλίδειο Ίδρυμα Θεσσαλονίκης. Το 2011 συμμετείχε στην ART - ATHINA, Διεθνή Συνάντηση Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, με το έργο “Guartet” σε συνεργασία με την gallery Tsatsis Projects - Art Forum.



Born in Thessaloniki, where he lives and works. Graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Visual and Applied Arts in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dimitris Kontos’ workshop (1987-1993) In 1985, he initiated the large cycle of his work, using the divine proportions of the golden section as the main structural element. In 1998, he enriched his studies with the perspective of anamorphosis, which he completed in 2004.
From 2006 until today, he has been engaged in the work that is being presented here under the general title “Unplugged”, and which he intends to exhibit for the first time. It involves compositions with charcoal, on special handmade canvas prepared by the artist himself. For the last twenty years he has been teaching drawing and color to forthcoming students of the Faculty of Fine Arts. He has participated in five group exhibitions so far, where he presented a sample of his studies.
One of those exhibitions was held in the Center of Contemporary Arts “Vellidis”, in Thessaloniki, in 1987. In 2011 he participated in ART – ATHINA, International Meeting of Modern Art, with his work “Guartet” in cooperation with the art Gallery Tsatsis Project – Art Forum
